Our journey began right here in Mendon, born from a simple passion for the water and a commitment to our neighbors. What started as a local endeavor to help friends and family build and maintain their docks has grown into a trusted service for homeowners across St. Joseph County, Cass County, Kalamazoo County, Branch County, and beyond.

Chase Wenzel isn't just the owner of Chase's Lakeside Service; he's your neighbor who truly understands the lakefront lifestyle. Born and raised on the shores of Lake Templene, Chase has spent his entire life on the water. This deep-rooted connection, fueled by a passion for boating and water sports, naturally evolved into a career dedicated to helping others maximize their enjoyment and investment in their own waterfront properties. His firsthand experience with the unique conditions of our regional lakes is the foundation of the practical, reliable service he provides.
Chase's passion is matched by his professional expertise. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University, where he earned a business degree that provided the strategic foundation to turn his lifelong passion into a trusted local company. This combination of hands-on, practical knowledge and formal business acumen ensures that every project is not only built to the highest standards of craftsmanship but is also managed with professionalism, clear communication, and respect for the client's time and budget.

The best choice depends on your specific shoreline and lake conditions.
Stationary Docks are ideal for stable water levels and provide a very sturdy, permanent feel.
Floating Docks are better for lakes with fluctuating water levels or a mucky bottom, as they rise and fall with the water.
